    loaches fighting
I have a pakistani loach and a zebra loach in my tank along with some other fish.
recently the zebra loach has started harrassing the pakistani ie chasing him then he will hide but the zebra will search him out!
also the zebra seems to be having a go at most things that swim past him but not as badly as he does to the other loach.
should i get rid of him?

Try removing him for a short time, rearrange any rocks/plants in the tank and let the Pakistani Loach set up a territory for a few days.

Woudlnt the zebra get more aggressive for being ''quaranteened'' (*I have no id if I spell that right though) for that long time ?

no... I have done this with Discus and it sometimes works.... there still is a chance that the one you are removing will re-establish dominance at start up again.... usually that will be a few weeks though... AND you may not have a problem again (my Discus keeps taking dominance so this does not work in my case  )

Removing them and rearranging is a great idea... works for many fish types.
I'm concerned with what your calling a zebra loach. Can you supply a picture? Usually its the pakastani ( aka yo yo ) loach that's the chaser and not the one being chased. [scratch]

The smaller pictured loach is a Striata loach and are generally peaceful with other fish.
The other is Sinibotia robusta and can be down right nasty at times. Known to not play well with others :)
Both loaches are given the trade name zebra loach but are two distinct different species.

I have both of the above in with my loach tank and the robusta can be a royal pain in the butt [cussing]

Is this the fish that's causing all the disturbance? He's a dario loach if it is, and usually not an aggresive type botia/loach.
