You can. It will help remove nitrates and phosphates. You will need to plant them and provide them with proper lighting.

You will need lights in the 6000°-8000°K range. How many is up to you. You will also have to wipe their leaves as they expel excess salt through them.

Get a bulb without the actinic part.

You do not need to even have an specialty bulb! The main thing is to provide enough LUMINOSITY of a red spectrum! Even a regular house bulb will work! You can still use your 50/50, but mangroves grow best under high lighting.

Incandescent lighting is best for plants! Red spectrum is best! Install a simple light bult mogul base and add a plant bulb sold at pet stores!

Chaeto as in algae? If so yes! This little plant forms are very adaptable and hardy. They will thrive under incandescent point light source (regular light bulbs)
