My blood parrots

    I only have the two. I come awfully close to grabbing a couple more this week but thought, why push it? They like room so will just stick with these two. Great fish and no worrying about tons of fry to get rid of.

    <--had them myself. I really liked them and the coloration got very nice as they began to grow into a descent size.

    On the one to the right near the top fin/back...is that darker region just the way it's coloration is?

    It's dark pigmentation. A lot of parrots have that but I like the solids best, myself. You can see it in this picture a little better. I'd like to get some purple parrots. No, they are not dyed. [cussing] They are a deep red and I have no idea why they're called purple. Guess they just like to confuse us.

    My female gets soooooo fat when she's full of eggs!

    your top one looks the same color mine were (mine didn't have the pig. variation though).
    Those are some really healthy looking parrots you have there!
