My breeding pair of dempseys have spawned twice now and about an hour after the eggs hatch they eat the fry. I know the tank they are in is too small for the two of them. Could that be the problem? As soon as i get my tax money im going to buy at least a 55g for the pair. any sugestions as to why they are eating them would be great!

Stress will cause fish to eat their fry. How big are these fish ?

I am so jealous you have a breeding pair. I would say you are right. I would also remove the male out when you see eggs so he does not stress her out to breed immediately again. He wants them gone to breed again.
