My DG just died

    He was fine a half hour ago. I was looking at the tank and he was swimming then just floated to the top dead. Old age or heart attack I don't know but it was suddenly. Color good eyes bright no signs at all. That was a first for me. I'm used to slow deaths or accidents.

    My guess would be Dwarf Gourami.

    Yes a dwarf gourami. He will not be replaced due to the IVDG in DG's. I think they're beautiful and great personality but just not worth the risk.

    Ive NEVER had luck with DG's at all. My father can have them and they thrive, I dunno.


    Well your DG and my last female gold ram are swimming together somewhere then, I went to get their food, she was alive and appeared well, came back with the food(two rooms over) and she was laying on the bottom dead. Egg bound I think, either way she went with a friend, Hope they get along in the afterlife.

    A virus that is very contagious.
