yea it's going to be crazy expensive. The light i'm looking at now is like $430. I bet i'll eventually end up spending about 1-2k on the entire setup. I also plan to get a new skimmer down the line but right now i will be investing in lighting and an ro/di unit. and then i'm set equipment wise.

I know what I dumped into my setup...and it defin. was crazy!
So if you count upgrades and what not..that will defin come down the line if you don't start out with "good-great" equipment you're defin gonna exceed that I bet!

Saltwater is so expensive. From that money already I can almost buy a pretty neat freshwater tank with everything on it (well no substrates decoration plants fish ect)

And thats why I'm taking my time and doing a lot of research I'd rather spend a lot of money now on something such as lighting so that in the future I won't need to upgrade. But I know I would like to upgade my skimmer down the line

your doing the same thing I did. I bought things in pieces...a bit at a time.
Went with the best of the best too so I didn't have to upgrade later on (saying I wish I got this instead of that).
Shop around kiddo, as you are. And ALWAYS check for online coupons when buying online.
Also, use perk programs such as bigcrumbs (kickback)!
