I am trying to think of how I can decorate my new 125 gallon tank. I like the stacked rock look, but I also like some of the drift wood stuff. Anyone have any suggestion, maybe pictures of your tanks or other peoples tanks. I am trying to come up with some insperation.

What kind of stocking options do we have to work with?

what do you mean by stocking options? like material? because I can get just about any king of rock or drift wood and I am sure I can order whatever i need online. Plus i am a pretty good do it yourself guy.

oh. that would be another subject. I have some old fish in my 20 gal. A loach, a blue gourami, a placo, two barbs, and some little fish that I still can’t figure out how it got into my tank. But I think I might leave them in that tank and start with some nice tropical fish that get big

Watch the ones that get too big! You wont be able to do anything with the tank and basically you will have a 125 gallon monster tank with nothing but 2-3 fish in it! (Oscars, Common Pleco and Pacu to name a few)

Also many of your larger Cichlids tear up plants, knock down decorations and outright destroy what you do with the tank. That is why I said you will have an empty tank with 3 fish!

That's the key to scaping a tank is know what the intended stock might be. Plan for the size that they will get. You can go through all the trouble and get it set up just to find you fish out grow it and then you have re-do it to accomidate them. No biggie...just thought I'd try to get an idear of what you want to live there first.
