I have quite of few of these, RARELY see them though. I got into them about a year ago when they first became readily available. They were known then as Anentome Helena now they have been re-classified as Anentome Clea or "Assasin snail" if you prefer common names. Be careful and don't house them with any ornamental snails as they will hunt larger species and have been known to hunt in packs working together to take down larger prey.

I put em in my planted 52 with a beijing population of MTS that Is near impossible to harvest.

I saw them last night for about 5 hours checking things out and munching(really neat site) but havnt seen them since. I got em under the helena name.

two for 4 bucks retail in crook county,il (home of the highest sales tax in the nation, 10.25-10.75%) that aint bad, I seen em online from 10-30 bucks each.

They will breed, yes the problem is being able to have enough feeder snails to support a large population of them.

I have 3 ten gallon tanks with 100 each in them right now to colonize those for food supply for customers and myself.

I have a 5g plastic tote of tank sand from my tank with tons in there.

a few algae wafers and zuchs a week keep them happy and messy.
