I got a call from a gentleman in St. Pete last week about his 550 gallon display tank with 120 gallon sump, that in a past life was a FOWLR, in his restaurant. The aquarium maintenance company that setup and maintained the aquarium is out of business. The owner has decided that he is done with the expense of a saltwater setup and wants to convert the tank to freshwater. Someone told him about our goldfish and he has approached me about set-up and maintaining his tank. I told him I wasn't interested in maintaining his tank but would set it up and stock it. This afternoon we stuck a deal on 50 good grade goldfish and I will do the set up. I'll try to get some pictures.

I did OK, I cut a good price because they are buying so many, but I have never sold that many to one buyer at the same time.

I got start on it last weekend just cleaning it out (it was really bad) drain it and took out all the old rock and sand then ran a couple of gallons of PP though it I took a few pictures
The biggest problem is I can only work on this thing before he open for business

oh my my...that is truly beautiful (wipes tears away).
Are those fake plants the fabric ones I've seen in stores?
If so, how long before they get algae (considered doing them in the 10g, but remember back to when I had plastic plants and how they'd get kucky and was wondering if the fabrics are the same).

They're silk and yes they get algae on them and look really bad in a couple of months, but they are temporary the long term plan is to change over to EZ live plants in pots as the tank matures. Because it's a business they wanted to do something to fill out the tank while it was cycling. So silk plant were a "In the mean time" thing while there were no fish in the tank. It took just under a 3 weeks to cycle the tank and about a month to breakdown, clean and repair the old saltwater set-up so we could start the new set-up.
