Here is my desktop planted Endler's 10g, which has a view through to the other side of my office.

Really nice. What type of substrate is that and what type of Endler's do you have ?

That is CaribSea Cichlid Mix sand, which I use in the 40-gallon Lake Tang cichlid tank you can just barely see on the right behind the desk tank. I used it simply because I had some extra and put this tank together with leftover stuff I had around. The hygro and crypts seem fine with it.

I have never been able to get a shot of an actual Endler's - any camera tricks I could use? They never stay still, though, so that probably has a lot to do with it. I have a Canon G7 but do not know how to utilize it properly!

Unless you have a Digital SLR you're likely going to have to put one in a small container. Many people use Tic Tac containers. Someone actually mentioned that the other day.

Here are some of my older picture taken with a Digital SLR.

Beautiful shots! I like the idea of the Tic Tac container - they can't quite turn around. Hmmm... That's more likely than me obtaining a digital SLR, lol.

    Thanks.

If you do use the Tic Tac container just try not to leave them in there too long and stress them out. ;)

Thanks, all. I will have to get some updated pics of my other tanks and upload them. I just got a 150 gallon tall that will receive the contents of my planted 55, plus some, so I will hopefully soon get some pics of that. Big project.
