    whats the patch on the left cheek of your bristlenose at about eye level?

    I'm assuming it's a younger one still getting in his bristles?

    this particular species of BN is a medusa. The patch hides a fiber patch as its called which fine combs the water for certain minerals. the male is almost 5" and is a many times over great breeder for me. The bristles on this species do not remain full, when not in breeding dress they are as shown above

    I had one of those about 7 years back...I didn't know what the heck it was. I just know it was worth pretty descent trade in value at the lfs when I broke the tank down!
    Very nice specimen, do you sell the offspring?
