    dan i would say that there about 1 lb and 1 1/2 lbs,i have to laugh because i really love these guys so much,they just fit in the family so well.
    we had a snail we lost in Dec. that was about 5 yrs old and the size of a baseball,we miss apple,she would eat lettuce from our hands.

    can always add mystery snails (goldens would look good with your goldys)

    very nice never heard some 1 breed them in aquariums sucecefully but 1 time with comets

    I hope the babies live. I used to be a serious goldfish keeper and at one time had 16 tanks. I had one common who would lay eggs all over the tank and then go to work on eating them.

    WOW! 16 1/2 years! That is really amazing! how big are they? what size tank are they in?

    side note, i heard in order for goldfish to breed you need 1. a male and a female 2. lower the temperature then slowly rise the temp to imitate spring.

    anyone know how to sex them?

    Females usually have a visible ovipositor. You can also do the old standby and wait until the male has breeding tubercles on his gills to make him obvious.
