question on tank set up

    I am thinking about going tomorrow and getting a small 5 gal for some shrimp. i plain on heavy planting. is there a light i can use besides the whole cover tops? like a desk lamp?

    yep, you can stick a compact fluorescent bulb into a gooseneck desk lamp or get a clip on version that is also flexible.

    I got my clamp on one at wal-mart...and the bulb there too back in the pet dept.

    this is like the bulb I'm talking about (they have one that's 6700k for plants)

    Go to Walmart an buy one of those 5 gallon starter kits and put compact fluoresces in

    the tank is going to be like 3$$ i am going to a goodwill that always has them.
