    Live Food (White Worms)
are white worms good for fry, or just older fish.

Guppies will need small food. If you want to feed them live food it will likely have to be newly hatched brine shrimp.

I think a variety of good quality food is best. Live food doesn't always mean it's better

You can use micro-worm for your fry..my guppies' fry love them...the adult guppies eat them too.

For guppies I'd use hikari first bites, crushed flake food, and artemia

micro worms are so easy and they reproduce very fast. I also use white worms for larger fry, they are easy too just need moisture and cat food lol. Vinegar eels are another option for small fry but sometimes a pain if you don't have a good way to separate them from the vinegar. I also use wingless fruit flies now as well. But like was stated above you definitely need variety and a combination of live foods and quality flake is essential. There is a lot of quality flake food available from local places across the US and it tends to be much cheaper than the crappy walmart or petsmart brands out there.

No I don't do all that for guppies I was just stating the options. I have guppies yes, but I do it for my angel fry, apisto fry, cory fry, and misc live bearers.

yeah, i really just do it because I like it. I feed a lot of live food when i want my fish to spawn, for some reason it triggers them more than just flake.

My common sense tells me that it's tied in to them feeling more like they are in the wild since obviously their not going to find someone coming along with a meal 2-3+ times a day. Probably a combination of the live food and water changes if the temp is slightly different makes them think it's spawning season.
At least that's what I've noticed in my own community tank.
