R.I.P my 100gal african cichlid tank

    horrible news, my little girl decided to give my fish a bubble bath yesterday [banghead] . i had left the canopy open after i fed the fish and she poored a whole bottle of her bubble bath in the tan and killed everything [angel] but the pleco. it was a sad day yesterday

    yea it is, i got the tank all washed up yesterday and getting it ready for the next set of fish. still not sure what im going to go with but as soon as i get it figured out i'll start posting the pic's

    Here is a good stock list:
    10-12 Discus
    60-80 Cardinal Tetras
    8 Corys

    Plants
    Driftwood
    Sand

    That would give you an A+ tank ;)

    wow your gf.......nvm lol get arowana, pecock bass, but they will out grow your tank =D

    it was my 4 year old little girl lol. i was going to do discus in my 55gal tank, ive tried peacock bass b4 and they grow super quick i have a bunch of them in the area live i just landed a 7lb one the other day lol. and gold fish are not mean i like a little action in the tank but dont get me wrong cooltow u have the nicest goldfish ive ever seen, those things are bad ass.

    so far i might just do calvus, frontosas and maybe some nice peacocks

    Frontosas tanks are really nice. Cyphotilapia frontosa or Mpimbwe frontosa are two of my favorites

    frontosas are cool just not mine.....killed 2 females i will never forgive him.....

    Easiest answer to that is to just make the tank inaccessible to the kid. I've kept 55's in classrooms with Special Needs four year olds; you just have to tape the front of the glass canopy down and feed from the back. I saw those Malawi fishes getting offered everything from PB&J sandwiches to boogers to crayons. :-D
