Red Wolf finally hits 8"

    After about a year of waiting this little guy has finally bulked up. For those who do not know the supposed max size is 8" (some say 10" in the wild). I've only seen 1 or 2 other one's at this size so it's a good milestone to hit. Anyway enough talk, how about some pics :)

    Congrats they grow up SO FAST.... soon he will want a car.... then a job.... go off and ..... wait.... wrong species :)

    I pulled him out but they are also air breathers so no worries. ;)

    Besides.. he bit me before I pulled him out so he got the first blow. :D

    Yea but this guy lost all of his teeth when he was around 6.5".. I thought maybe they would grow back but they never did.. It still startled me though haha.

    Nothing, those scales are orange and just look weird with the flash.

    is that anther tank mate hiding in the back , or is it food hiding?

    It's a tankmate.. He's in with a Senegal bichir and 2x spotted raphaels. He chases the bichir around on occasion but overall he's not too aggressive towards him.
