Well, I finally gave in today. After seeing these guys a couple weeks ago, seeing how beautiful they are, and learning about how new and hard they are to find in the hobby, I bought a Denison Barb (Red line torpedo barb, Roseline shark). Two of the LFS I went to had them. One place wanted $40 for some that were larger, and the place I picked mine up at only had juveniles and were $30. I plan on putting a school of 5 or 6 of them in the new 55gal tank I'm getting this weekend, so once that tank is all set and cycled, he will be transferred over to to that. He's so young that his red line above the black line is just barely starting to show. I was also told that they are finally being tank bred, and that he's one of them. Here are some pics of him to give you an idea. In a couple of the pics, you can see a faint hint of his red line.
