So there are minnows in the ditch behind my house

    I see the little ripples from them and there are TONS!!! i'm thinking about catching a few and feed them to my toads. My only worry is parasites *sp* do you think it's possible for them to be parasite free? This drainage ditch eventually leads to the ocean.

    I think it is possible but chances are low. Since it is still a drainage :eek:

    you can quarantine them...thought I'm not sure if it's really worth it?

    And that's my problem I no longer have a freshwter setup to be able to quarentine oh well

    if i lived there i would have saved some money lol but i know a place around here were i could net some.....AHHH forgot the name but it was a guppy like fish for ponds

    lol we've had lots of stuff in the ditch even crawdads, when the birds would eat them they would leave the legs in our yard

    lol yup, although we haven't seen the crawdad's in the yeard for a while, we think the bird's that got them were the long legged white ones, they looked a lot like storkes, but were pure white

    whooping cranes! They have them in ohio around cedar point park...toss a fry up and it never hits the ground!
