This is a HM female but you can't tell it by the picture because she is still young, but not to young for a Betta Breeder to tell she is a HM.

I'll have to delete your post. Just so you know, you can attach more than one picture per post. :D

This is a HM female who is a sister to the above male. I took a Yellow HM male from Dan Young and crossed him with a Black Copper Female I got from Victoria Parnell and these are the colors I got from them. They both have one alot in the IBC Club with there HM Bettas and Dan Young is also a Judge but can't Judge his own bettas I don't think. He has been a big help to me through raising bettas. Any questions I can e-mail him and he will get right back with me. I hope you enjoy the pics.

Oh okay, you're using photobucket... You can just do the IMG command and paste your URL in it like you are, then press the IMG command again as many times as need. :D

They are grown up enough to spawn usually around 4 - 4.5 mos old. They grow very slowly until about 2 - 2.5 mos old and then they start growing good. You start seeing there colors coming out on them when they are around 3 - 4 weeks old.

They are all very beautiful - it must be challenging breeding them. Do you have a million and one little tanks, or just a few large ones with dividers? How old before they start to get aggressive?

I have only 1 20 long tank with plants in it for the grow out tank, 1 10 gal to spawn in , 5 gals, 2.5 gals and 1.5 gals. The bettas start picking on each other when they are around 5 weeks old and sometimes sooner. I only spawn 1 pair at a time because I live in a one bedroom apartment andI have tanks in every room.

Yes it takes patiences to spawn bettas, because they don't always like each other and don't want to spawn. When that happens you will have to have another male or female available that you can try and it doesn't always work out. Then you try another pair.

Thank you for the compliment on my bettas.
