Stocking a 10 gallon (help?)

I'm about to loose a emerald cory cat and a bloodfin, leaving my 10 gallon with 2 neon tetras. I might move them into another tank that I have, that is empty, and add some more of them. Can anyone give me a good stocking list for with and without 2 neons? I'm interested in getting another betta because I was good with them in the past, but I don't think they go well with neons. I'm also interested in larger fish, not tetras or guppies, but a school of something would be okay too. :D thanks for the help.

So, would I be able to put a betta with my neons? or is that a bad idea...

That should be fine. You'll have to keep an eye on them at first to make sure there are no aggression issues.
