Its been awhile, thought I'd update everyone
Hello everyone, its been awhile since I've been on the forum, been real busy at work and really busy with the NH Aquarium Society. I figured I'd give everyone a status report on my multiple tanks just in case anyone has any questions on some of the fish I have. I know a lot about all my fish so if you have similiar fish or have questions about these let me know. My tanks are now as follows:

10 Gallon: Breeding pair of Apistogramma Cacatuoides (Orange Flash), they are a small, very colorful fish.

10 Gallon: Breeding "colony" of half yellow half black guppies, (from award winning stock)

10 Gallon: Misc fry tank, anywhere from Angels, Convicts, Apistos, and Corys

55 Gallon: Community tank, (show tank), Angels, Platys, Guppies, Corys, Beta Falx, etc.

2 30 Gallons: Angel breeding pairs

30 Gallon: Convict breeding pair, used for getting breeder points and originally as experience in raising fry.

20 Gallon Tall: Small Salvini Cichlids, (for sale if in the NH/Maine area)

There will be more to come once I get to my new apartment as well.

If you get a chance I'd love to see some pictures of the Apistogramma Cacatuoides.

    Re: New Tank

Why do you say that... no mammals :)

My wife just got us a mated pair of Leopard Geckos yesterday.... I have to build a terrarium for them as they only have a 10 gallon tank now

I am going to try to cut the glass off of the tank and build it into a box made from plywood with a front glass pane.... then going to make the habitat with styrofoam and dyed plaster

New project..... now to figure out how to get the wife to get rid of the cats

Don't tell mine how you do it as I still refuse to get rid of my cats. I had them before him...LOL!! I did promise when they pass I will not get anymore. But, he says I can have all the puppies I want...LOL!!

    Re: New Tank

Not just the no mammals, we also both have young kids, both cooks, both fresh water aquarium enthusiasts, both love photograph, and both of us listen to heavy rock. If I lived in your part of VA we would probably be best friends :D

As for the Cats good luck. I don't have anything against cats, Just got tired of stepping in cold puke and cat poop when I lived we my family (we had 2 cats). I like animals that have their own little habitat and don't need to share mine ;)

    Re: New Tank

I do have to say I HATE stepping on cold cat puke. I never have to really deal with poop unless I have been a bad mommy and not cleaned the box. The only time that ever happens is while PG as I am so tired I forget. I have been pretty good though as my hubby HATES the cats and so I have to keep up on things to not get the "Get rid of the cats" speal.

    Re: New Tank

I agree with the not fun stepping in puke! Also the other thing that drives me nutty is them jumping on EVERYTHING, digging through the trash and knocking it down, knocking down EVERYTHING on the kitchen countertop, them messing with my tanks (2 of mine are open top), the 2 cats fighting EVERYWHERE ALL DAY LONG.... the list goes on

    Fish - Quiet
Birds - loud but interesting and dont mess with anything really
    Reptiles - quiet

With 2 kids ANYTHING else that makes noise is annoying! :)

    Re: New Tank

LMAO!! Very true. Our cats do not make noise during the day, but at night they are the explorers of the house. They have given up getting on the tanks unless they are not given water...LOL!! They prefer to hide under the bed and sleep on the couch to playing. But 3 of mine 13 and 14 yrs old...LOL!! I have 2 trash dogs who will get into the trash...ugh! Drives me batty. Especially when hubby is prolonging trash duty by adding a random trash bag on the floor. Then he actually thinks the dogs will remember or CARE that they are not supposed to eat out of it.
