First thing I would suggest would be A LOT more live rock. Second thing would be not to drink Crown Royal while reefing. :)

The brown algae will eventually go away as the tank ages. How many gallons per hour does the filter do ? Wet/dry filters are fine, if they filter enough water for your size tank.

Oh another thing... You're going to need about 2 good powerheads for the tank for water movement.

468 gallons per hour is what the instruction manual says per 3 ft of hose!

If I were you I'd get a pump with a higher GPH rating, or add a canister filter to increase your turnover rate.

PetCo/PetSmart sell the Rena XP series in stores usually. You can find others online. Here are some that Drs Foster and Smith sell online.
    <a class="postlink" href="http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/pet_supplies.cfm?c=3578+3579+3580" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/p ... +3579+3580</a>
I recommend you stick with the Rena, Marineland, Eheim Pro, or the Fluval FX5's. Any of those rated for over 75 gallons will be great.
