    can any one help me with these fish [lake victoria ?????] blue one is a male have a pair of the ones in bad pic ...they have started to breed ... many thanks jimmyx

    Kinda looks like a ruby green female.

    Im not finding any in lake victoria that match per color and pattern and fin shape, alot of other africans resemble but are missing features that your fish has.

    I am comparing pics to another site

    Looks like a stressed metriaclima species to me.

    Lake Malawi Mbumba of some type to me. possibly a hybrid

    It doesnt resemble any victorian cichlid, the head and colors and body shape are uncommon or non existant in lake victoria

    It is a stressed Metriaclima Callainos, I am for sure, here is a pic I foud on the web of one showing stress bars the same as yours. They are Lake Malawi Mbuna not Lake Victorian.

    thanks to every one for your help with fish id...it has been a great help to me .. still not sure about the pair i have breeding .. looks like i will have to get little blue fella a female ..he is chasing every thing in my tank ...once again thanks
