    Hopefully the baring is from stress. Other then that they look good.

    I took the pics a couple of days ago now the bars are gone.

    I also have a new lab. In fact, i removed my paired convicts along with their fry, and now im restocking with african cichlids. NE ways lol, I have an electric yellow and some other cool looking fish. and i was wondering why yours had bars?

    nice!!!! one of my favs for cichlids. hopefully the bars don't come back.

    i have recently also bought three yellow labs as well. how do you tell male from female.

    Sexing yellow labs visually is very very difficult to impossible. Venting them is the only sure fire way to tell male from female.

    Basically you inject air into their anus and put pressure on their stomach to expose their genitalia.

    Venting can be VERY dangerouos and is not suggested unless the person doing the venting is knowledgeable:)

    wow that is way harder than i want to do. i heard that the males had more black on their anal fins

    Venting CAN be the only sure fire way of sexing unless you wait until you see them spawn.
