If the tank is only a week old your doing something really right. the polyps require food and calcium. As to the lighting they require the minumum lighting you can have some power compacts Flourescents the watt depends on the depth of the tank good luck and congrats !!!!

feed them once or twice a week you have to feed every polyp individually.........i actually feed all my corals instead of the fish.....they just grab what they can when i feed the corals and that's enough for the fish.........the thing is i have so many corals that i feed two different ones everyday....

You mean to tell me you have to go into the tank (obviously not your whole body) and physically choose who eats and who doesnt?

yep, all the polyps have to get their fair share everyday.......if i just put food in there it will never reach my corals......

thats rediculous, no wonder these things are so fragile in the wild, but they are soooo beautiful!

ok for now those are the only polyps you have so after you defrost some food in a cup take a turkey baster and suck up some pieces in it...place the turkey baster in front of a polyps and give it a piece or two to each one......make sure you shut off your powerheads so it doesn't go all over the place....

The reason I ask it because it looked a little like Aiptasia. It's hard to tell from the pictures though.
