I lost my male yellow lab he stop eating a while ago for some reason i seperated him from the female because he began to beat her up pretty bad. Man that was one of my best ones its going to be hard starting over he was a nice size. Well i guess i can get smaller males to go in with the female. Any suggestions.

Sorry about losing him. You're going to want more females for one male. Not a 1:1 ratio.

For any and all african cichlids you want a ratio of no less than 1 male to 3 females. I personally keep 1 male 7-8 females minimum, this way its dispersed completely and none of my females get terrorized.
