Oh okay. I can't go that low on this one.

There's this one. <a class="postlink" href="http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=4427" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/p ... catid=4427</a> Most people that would have used ones would be for much larger tanks, like mine.

I just started a 10 gallon salt water tank today. In one of the little caves I made with the live rock, I noticed some form of anemone. I'll have to get a better look once the tank settles a little more.

Probably a glass amemone or apistia. Get rid of it now.

I got a better look at it, and it seems to have kind of a white circular base and clear tentacles/body. Are there different forms of aiptasia? They look brown in most of the pics I've seen of them. Not that I really mind getting rid of it. I'm not an anemone fan at all, though it was kind of cool to see a living creature in a tank I just set up. If it is this evil anemone, what is the best way you've found to take care of them?

I've had brown and clear/white ones. I purchased ApistiaX and it works great. Kills them in a few seconds and they don't return.

It wont kill anything else that might have hitchhiked with the rock will it? I have a little sponge on one of the rocks, and would like to see what happens with it.

Nope, you inject it right onto the mouth of the anemone.

ah ok, I'll have to pick it up, probably next week..being that after buying everything for the setup, my aquarium funds are now non-existent (If only we didn't have to eat...I'd use all my money on aquariums..... lol
