    ok. well i went and i only got 5 i think i just want to see how they do. and i am really leaning towards getting new homes for the platys.

    I know mine are doing great with my acidic water (6.0ph or lower).

    ok. well, one died last night. it was acting funny after i let them go yesterday. so i have gotten it out and going to take it to petsmart.

    Have them check your water while your at it...assuming they were properly acclimated and they looked healthy in the tank.

    all the other fish are doing good. are they suppost to have a red color to them?

    If it's orangish yes, they're supposed to be that color. If it's red it could be ammonia poisoning.

    How many are in the tank ? Spawning is probably not likely.

    You should have 8 or more of those guys idealy then you have a slight chance of breeding

    im not. just was wondering. i like them they are very pretty. once i move in a few months im upgrading alot... up to a 75gal!! yeah for me.
