    Cycling the tank will not change your PH and besides if you MUST change the PH it has to be done over a period of time. Best to go ahead and test for PH,KH,GH now so that you will know what you are working with:)

    i want to try the fishless cycle. i have never done it before. and my ph is i think 7.8, i know its high.

    Personally I wouldn't put Angels in water with a pH over 7.3. That's just me though.
    Normally when you purchase fish from PetCo/PetSmart/WalMart their pH is about 7.0.

    That's good african water
    Angels likely won't do well in water that hard

    Use Proper PH 6.5! It works great for Angels!!!

    I know someone said dont do it but it works! I have used it for over 2 years with my discus!

    I use a similar product for my saltwater tank to bring my pH up to 8.3 from about 7.4 I think.
