    These guys are about 4 months old and work normally. Upgraded to a canister filter and have no use for these. I also have about 8 replacement filter inserts for them. Take one or take both for a discounted price. Both come with original box.

    Hey Anthony would this be overkill on a 10gallon? Also I like to add my own media mix will I have to use there cartridges? Can the cartridges be opened to put in my own media?

    No, I don't think it would be. They don't produce a strong current but filter really well.

    You don't HAVE to use the cartridge. You can turn it into a mini canister type filter by layering media in it. If you use their cartridges you can put it in the fitting and dump some of your media in the middle then replace the top and it should stay.

    I am not looking for a strong current because well as you know I only do planted tanks. Could I come take a look at sometime this week? I am available while my son is at school around 8-2:30. That is if they don't cancel it because there's a snow flake on the ground :x

    Looks like schools are already canceled, a lot of them anyway. Like I said, I have to go to Pet Forum on Wednesday so you can see it then if the time is good.

    They're calling me as soon as the shipment comes in because I have to pick up my fish. They keep them bagged for me. I won't know until I receive the call. Normally it's about 2ish.
