Well I told you what I know of the one catfish.... they are the translucent ones with the black strip and have a mouth like a Pleco (sucker fish)

These varieties are in the Loricariidae family. Here is the a brief overview of that family as they share MANY similarities:

Loricariidae is the largest family of catfish (Order Siluriformes), with almost 700 species and new species being described each year. Loricariids originate from fresh water habitats of Costa Rica, Panama, and tropical and subtropical South America. These fish are noted for the covering of bony plates covering their bodies and a suckermouth. Several genera are sold as plecos, notably the suckermouth catfish, Hypostomus plecostomus, and are popular as aquarium fish.

Leporinus Fasciatus will get to be 12" so they're going to need a pretty large tank.

Whiptail Catfish will be about 6". They're just a type of pleco.

Otocinclus Catfish are very small maxing out at 2". Mine isn't that big. The one I have is very friendly and will swim up to my hand and suck on it when I'm in the tank. They aren't the easiest to keep though.

I assume the White Cloud Mountain fish you're referring to is the minnow. They're a very hardly fish to keep and grow to about 1.5".

The Flame Tetra is no different than other tetras as far as care goes. They'll grow to be about 1.5" as well.

Leporinus Fasciatus, not only do they grow to be extremely large, they are aggressive as well.

I would pick two of your favs and get about 10 of each since they are all smaller schooling fish.

They should all work together but I agree with petluvr. I'd pick 2-3 and get several of each for the tank.

I would stick with two species and the khulis for the bottom about 8 would be cool.

This is a 30 long right ? If so and you chose two types, I'd do 8ish each. For 3 types about 5 each.

If you were to add catfish to the tank (cory cats) you're going to have to have no less than 5 of them. If you were to do this I'd be more apt to choose two of the above listed fish and only do 5 of them.

Re: A few questios about some fish

As petluvr stated above, these are schooling fish. They should be kept in groups so 4 types wouldn't allow you to have the groups they would like.

    C. Aeneus are a type of cory cat.
