Today I got a few pieces of driftwood... I still have to cure the wood... I also have to take the sand out of my sons sandbox (play sand) and rinse it... I dont feel like buying sand and there is 120lbs in there.... My wife wants new sand for him because his got wet too much... so it has been pretty much rinsed and also has some decaying leaves in it for fertilzer (I will clean them out) so :D

Here are the pictures of them. I put a spray bottle in the picture for size reference.... like 3' in length :)

Someone needs to start gathering driftwood and offering it to us. :)

I think so... I dont know yet... I am adding the sand tomorrow... Also curing both then too... I dont know yet what I am doing with the tank... just knew I needed more.

The only one that would fit the 30L is the smallest piece of the 3.... the others are a bit over 3' by estimate. Im curious if the will even fit my 55

yup.... remember I am estimating... Sometimes I overestimate if thats what I want and sometimes I underestimate if thats how I want it :)

And I want these pieces! :)

I enjoy driftwood hunting when I go on work travel :) Today I was around Front Royal/Winchester (Stephens City and Woodstock)

Ok, the tank finally has cleared up and is only minimally cloudy. I am going to be treating the driftwood within the next few days and adding it. The cloudy tank has postponed the entire setup of this tank!

Yup..... the first few days were so bad it looked like a flooded lake.... now it looks like a new setup tank finally where it is whitish in color but you can see what is in the tank pretty well! Before you could not see the fish unless they were pressed against the glass :)

:) That's how my Zebra Daino tank was after I added that horrible bag of crushed coral.

Re: 55 Gallon Planted Altum Tank

I was hoping that the sand being in the sandbox and getting wet a lot would have rinsed it off mostly..... apparently I was wrong

Re: 55 Gallon Planted Altum Tank

I even rinsed it a few times and churned it around to warm up the sand.... poured out the nasty water and added clean water to the bucket.... still did not work... Oh well.... I have been strapped for cash anyhow
