    AFRICAN DWARF HUMPHEAD

    Family:Cichlids, Chichlidae
    Characteristics:2.75 in, males grow larger, develop a larger hump on the head, and have a broader mouth.
    Tank/Water:12.5g, water types 3-6, 76-83F.
    Care:Keep in pairs in tanks with good water movement, fine gravelly substrate, and rocks and caves as hiding places. Accepts high-fiber dry foods and small crustaceans.
    Habits:Probably native to rapids of the Kasai, a southern tributary of the Congo. Pair-forming cavity brooder; as an exception, the males pay more attention to the eggs.
    Compatibility:With African tetras, in large tanks also with other cichlids (Teleogramma).
