Oh and I know this sounds wrong to say... But the lady working in the fish section only had 1 arm, how can they expect her to take care of things properly ?

I posted two pictures I took with my phone while I was there, in the WalMart thread that I moved to the fish store review section.

I just tried out my new python. :) I noticed as I was filling the tank back up that all the stem plants you sent me have sprouted tons of new roots along the stem. I just leave them unless I want to trim them, right ?

I had to take out the moneywort. It had been basically melting since the 2nd day it was in there.

I had a rough time with it at first too (moneywort)...took a good while to grow from the itty bitty pieces Leslie sent.

As for trimming, yes (you trim from the top>I'd leave at least 3" of the stem remaining and if you plan on replanting wait until you can safely clip about the equiv. 3" for transplanting).

Okay. I'm not sure if it's the lighting itself or a combination of that lighting and the Kent Pro Plant I've been using but everything seems to be growing pretty quickly, minus that grass stuff I got from Nick.

That looks like that stuff you put in humid tanks (like for reptiles)..the grass in the tank.

Glad they are growing well for you also!
Probably because it's a shallower tank and they are receiving more light.
Mine do well...but nothing like the cabomba I had.

I had them before when I did a 55g community.
They would constantly breed...and KILL all the other fish when laying eggs. It wasn't pretty (but they were--meaning the angels).

I thought about adding them again, but not sure knowing their predatory instincts and the way the scarf down babies?

Yeah, with everything that breeds in your tank you probably shouldn't add them.

I have one that's MEAN. He chases every one of the other Angels, even the largest one !

Yeah. I've been keeping an eye on him. He mostly does it when I feed them.

Oh I already told him he's going bye bye when he gets bigger. Maybe that's why he's mean, he's trying to kill everyone off so he can stay. :)

Speaking of getting rid of fish I need to list my Endlers. I forgot all about selling some of them.

I'd love to get some off you, but the last ones I had didn't fare well in my acidic water (6.0)

If you want I can run over there tomorrow and grab some and try to acclimate them to 6.5 water then they would have a better chance in your water.
