Is there anything stronger than Quick Cure for Ich? I'm using heat, quick cure, water changes and keeping the lights out. It seems like the fish gets worse when I leave the lights out. The tank is a 20 long with 1 male swordtail, 1 female swordtail which is covered in ich. A platy and a small pleco. I've never had a problem treating Ich and usually can treat it by jacking the heater up to 86. Nothing seems to be working this time. Any suggestions?

Its never taken this long. I've been treating for a week now and the fish looks worse today. She's swimming and eating and doesnt look stressed but its taking forever. I'll keep treating like I have been.

if you do treat with it be aware that clown loaches and inverts are extremely sensitive to BOTH Malachite Green and Copper Sulfate

(keep in mind if you plan on adding any of the above)

True... and plants dont get along with copper either! That is worse than salting a planted tank... again IMO

No plants and no Clown Loaches in this tank. I'm positive its ich. Looks like the fish rolled around in salt. I'll try to get a good picture and post it.

a quick link on the velvet which also has a photo to help you judge whether that is what you are dealing with.

    Try heat and salt.
