That's pretty cool. I wonder how it's filtered.

Not quite what I mean Anthony...

What I mean is the intake and return could be plumbed in from below, without actually being in contact with the substrate. intake in pipe fashion sitting open faced 2-3" above the substrate, and the return in the same mechanism with a grate to prevent substrate from entering and gumming up the works.

As you can see the desk is one solid platform and not broken or with seams.

This leads me to believe that the filtration is from below.

The picture looks a bit old... Was that type of filtration used say 15 years ago ?

Re: A Reason To Enjoy work

My uncle was running a reversed filtration system 35 years ago Anthony, as he had no other means of utilizing his space for his tank. It was all pumbed in within a large cabinet.

Re: A Reason To Enjoy work

This type of filtration was a very simple means of concealing the bulk of your equipment, and as we see today with wet/dry and sump systems it has obviously shown to be reliable.

Bare in mind Anthony...10 years ago..at the ripe age of 14..you did not see it all yet.

You can still learn a thing or two from us old time pioneer fish keepers lol.

It would be awesome if we had fishtank desks to work here at home with. I would LOVE that. I would never see the tank as my desk is never clean...LOL!!
