Bakersfield Turtle with Shell Rot (Advice Wanted)

    Does anyone here live in Bakersfield? I need help I have a sick turtle with shell rot and want to know if I'm doing the right thing. Please help me save this little guy!

    Does he have a place in his tank to get dry ?

    These steps should fix your little guy.

    Allow the turtle to dry out, and scrape the fungus off with a butter knife
    Apply betadine to the site
    Apply neosporin to the site
    Keep the turtle dry for several hours, before returning it to the tank.

    You may also want to add some Pimafix and Melafix to his water (That he swims in).
