I was running around last week and at Walmart (this one had a Fish Department that looked like no one even laid eyes on it in a month) The sales clerk was very friendly thou. They had recieved plants some time ago and they all looked dead but they were "bulbs" so the clerk gave me 6 of them for $.99.

Today I have a Aponogetons Ulvaceus that has 8" leaves. I knew they were dorment plants but this plant has taken over. It's in a 55 gal NPT, potting soil subs, 60 w flourecent, 200 watt CF Daylight, 180 watt incadecent 6500k (3 reveal bulbs 18" above tank) As soon as I get a pic I'll post. Not bad for $.99

This is the bulb 1 week after putting it in my 55 gal NPT.It started sprouting within 6 hours of putting it in my tank. Must be doing something right.

Nice. I love the "crinklely" look of these guys. They well get rather large as well.

These bulbs were in the tanks not the little package of 3 that you buy. The other ones are just sitting there not doing anything. May they still be dorment? this bulb was about 1" x1 1/2" in size.

Gently squeeze the bulb if they are soft then they are no good.

They are still viable then so they may just be getting adjusted to your tank and its params. Keep a check on them and hopefully they sprout.

Even if they don't I'm happy with this one.
