^^Haha, I think Anthony's used to having the live plants (hence sticking this in the planted forum)...and you hit the tone change right on the button. hehe!

Ps. Anthony I moved ya to the non-planted.

Sorry for the late reply, but they are beautiful! Do they keep the black tails or not? The adult pic you posted had a black sword, but pretty clear tail. I'm sure a tank of those and the black and green swords would be amazing! Hmmm.... maybe I should get back into livebearers again...

Now that I've had them and they've almost doubled in size the males aren't the ones with black tails. I have one Blue and one Orange with a black tail and both are females so it must just be a color morph in these guys since their strain isn't perfected yet. So far it looks like I ended up with a solid blue male, a beautiful orange/blue male and a completely orange male. The blue/orange male has an orange body that sort of fades into blue as you get to his head.

I'm still waiting for the adult female to drop her fry. I'm not sure how far along she was when I got her so it's just a waiting game right now.

I'll try to get some new pictures posted today. They're finally pretty calm when I'm close to the tank and feeding them. God forbid I put my hand in the tank though, then those guys are scared for the rest of the day. LoL

Must be the hybrid. When I had swords they'd attack my hand if it was in the tank.

Here are a few updated pictures of the fish. I still can't get the blue to show up well on camera.

Anthony, its pretty cool that the females have black tails! Maybe when they are fry you can tell which will be females and which will be males! I remember I had a female give birth and then a month later develope a gonopodium! Please keep us updated! I know you were auctioning off the orange blues, did you keep any? Like the 1 that was 1/2 orange and 1/2 blue?

Actually all the females don't have black tails, just two.

Yes, I have all the orange/blues pictured above.

    Nice tank....

Shouldn't it be in the "Planted" section though?
