    BREVIS SHELL DWELLER

    Family:Cichlids, Cichlidae.
    Characteristics:2.4 in, female smaller, with yellowish belly.
    Tank/Water:12.5g, water types 5-6, 77-81F.
    Care:Some requirements are a sand layer about 2 in deep and a few empty snail shells. Keep in paris. Feed small crustaceans (Cyclops, Artemia), also dry foods.
    Habits:Lives in pairs in empty snail shells in Lage Tnaganyika. Unlike other snail-dwelling cichlids, this species lives and spawns in pairs and occupies a single snail shell jointly.
    Compatibility:In large tanks, with Lake Tanganyika cichlids that are not sand dwellers (such as Cyprichromis).
