Brightwell Aquatics RainboCode Trace & Minor Elements

Can anyone find the amount of trace elements this product contains ? I cannot seem to find an "ingredient list".

More sites with complete information would work best. :)

I'm trying to decide if I can replace Seachem's Fresh Trace with this product. I'm confused.

Seachem Fresh Trace offers more trace elements but I'm not sure if they're really necessary. This is what Seachem Fresh Trace includes.

    In Percentages:
    Calcium-2.64
    magnesium-.792
    iodine (as iodide)- .100
    potassium-.100
    copper-.0032
    iron-.0007
    zinc-.0007
    manganese- .0002
    fluorine (as fluoride)-.0001
    selenium-.000006

    I'm paying $9.00 per 500ml but I can get 1/2 a gallon of the RainboCode for $16.00.

    Thoughts anyone ?

personal if the cheaper one work fine for me I would use the cheaper stuff.

    That my two cents.

I'm waiting to see what Lemon and Dawn say. I'm sure it will be "is it really necessary to add either of these to your water ?" :)

Cheaper is always better though, providing it provides everything necessary.

Your right, is it really necessary?
I use neither of these products and my plants are flourishing!

I don't use the Fresh Trace for the plants... It's more for the fish themselves.

    Still wouldn't use it imo.
    Up to you though.
Keep in mind most fish from LFS are from in home breedings (not from the wild).

Yeah... That's not the case with Endler's, not all of them anyway.

<--Doesn't deal in them, are they doing fine without it? I mean healthy(color/size/behavior/appetite), no fry deformation?
If you answer yes without using the product I'd leave it out of the mix.
Why add more than you have to?

Well, I don't know. :) I've ALWAYS used the Fresh Trace by Seachem because I was using filtered water on their tank. They've never not had Trace Elements added to their water.

I did notice after being down here for about 6 months the tank in VT wasn't getting the Trace Elements added twice a week like I did/do and there were several fish with spine deformities I had to cull.

Oh, Okay! I get it now, I thought you wanted to try a new product (it being the Fresh Trace)..I've seen it, although I never honestly heard anything about it?
So far all the Seachem products I've used...I've been thrilled with!

Yeah, I don't have a problem using the Fresh Trace. I wanted to try the Brightwell Aquatics RainboCode Trace/Minor Elements. Fresh Trace includes "extra" elements that the RainboCode doesn't. My main question I guess is do you think what the RainboCode product offers are, I guess, the main elements necessary to attempt to replace in an aquarium.

Test run the cheaper stuff, see if you can get it in a smaller container that wouldn't cost quite so much...give it a week and see if you notice a difference.
That or if you have a spare qt tank you can set it up as a mini example of your main and do a side by side compar.

It's on sale so I think I'm going to buy the half gallon of it and see how it goes. If I don't like it someone on here may want it. 500ml is on sale for half the price I pay for Fresh Trace.

Sounds like a plan, if not you can always sell it on ebay ...probably using flat rate priority (free box, free track, ability to print label online, and free carrier pickup at your place).
Can you tell I used to sell? Lol!
