    Cleaning Filter
2 questions in one. I need to know how to clean the Marineland Micron Filter Cartridge or if I just need to buy a new one. It is so stopped up it cannot pull water through it anymore.

Those things don't have a long life use in my experience. I'd clean with the little sprayer on the sink as well as I could once, maybe twice then I'd have to replace it.

I had that feeling.... think I need to get a new one then...... Thinking of putting my empty chemical cartridge into the filter just to keep circulation.

Yeah, you could stuff it with filter floss temporarily as well.

Yeah that is right, you dont like your rocks..... see, I got tired of my driftwood where it was. I had is centered and I wanted to off-center it so I could keep most of my plants under the bright bulb. I actually switched sides of the bulbs and moved the driftwood to the new darker side, my discus are freaking out... they dont know what is going on.... to them it is a new world. I still have some more planting to do though. I litterally lifted out 95% of my plants....actually all but 1 or 2..... jealousy of the new guy with the kick a** planted tanks!

Makes me think "now I can do better than I have now!"
