We can work on something for ya. Let me ask when you would like to have the lights on? Now the reason I ask is that some people like to have them on late in the evening so they can watch the fish since they are not home.

One setup I could suggest would be something like this:

    From 8am to 6pm Use 30Watts
    From 9am to 5pm use the 108W

    Off from 6pm to 8am

This gives you a total photo period of 10hrs, however, 8 of which will be under hight light.

    * EDIT *
Woops....the T8s should be on for the entire 10hr span. I just corrected that.

How bout something like this then:

    From 12pm to 10pm Use 30Watts
    From 1pm to 9pm use the 108W

    Off from 10pm to 12pm

    Alternate:

Both lights on at 11am - Off at 9pm

Could we work it around my work schedule lol. I don't have a timer yet. I leave the house around 8am and get home a little before 5pm.

Without the timer, just turn em on before you walk out the door.

Again...if you are looking at using both lights and based on when you want to have the lights on:

Option 1): Turn ON the T5's when you leave, T8s when you get home and OFF at 9pm.

Option 2): Turn them both ON when you leave and both OFF at 9pm.

This is going to give you an extended photo period and will be more suseptable to algae outbreaks.

Are you looking at adding any other plants?

Will this be ok Because I wont be at home at 12pm nor 1pm during the week

    6am-8am 108w & 30W
    8am-5pm 30W
    5pm-9pm 108w & 30W

    OFF 9pm to 6am

Also guys the tank looks a TON better..yesterday in a different forum and different discussion I found that I might possible have 3 plants not truly aquatic..... Need aquarium plant identification

I got home and after I did my 20% water change I removed these plants one of which STUNK to high heaven.. I am thinking ROTTING was taken place.

The temp is holding steady at 78-79 which is where I want it. We will see how it looks when I get home. Only the 30W are on now.

You could do that until you get your timer. Again, just be cautious with that long photo period. Algae will definately love you for it. ;)
