How many Colombian tetras would everyone suggest in a 30 gallon?

    Is it a 30g long 36x12x16, tall 24x12x24, or breeder 36x18x12?
I kept them before and they max at almost 3", and definately "show" better in large'ish groups. Nice looking fish imo!

Long, oh I have some, have kept them for years they are my favorite fish....have even had them breeding before. Alas I am down to 2, both of which were born in my care, I am going to the LFS tomorrow to get more and thought I would get some opinions. Other stock is 2 adult ABN, aenus, metae, adolfoi and panda cories as well (total of probably 12 cories).

Assuming your keeping up with water changes I'd do 7 or 8, that way you'll end up with a nice school and more than likely a mix of males/females. But that's just me ;)
