CopperSafe (How Do I Remove It?)

    I used coppersafe to treat velvet a few weeks ago, and i was told by several reputable sources that it was the worst option to use, that being said I was wondering what is the best way to get rid of it, i was told to do 50% water change every 3 days for a week. Isn't that a bit drastic? I finally sucessfully treated the velvet with QUICKCURE, Imust say that stuff is amazing. Please Help... Also one of my blk Mollies has 2 white dots on his side and bottom, i don't think its Ich but what else could it be?

    Your best bet is to vacuum the substrate and do several 50% water changes every day. I believe this product also attached to the substrate but I could be wrong about that. I'll check into it for you tomorrow morning.

    I hope you are NEVER planning to put ANY invert in to that tank as the copper can/will get into the sealant and leech copper which is usually deadly to inverts. I would say to remove it from the water column WC's and adding some carbon to your filter will do the trick:)

    Change the carbon frequently in the filter...maybe every 3 days for about 2 weeks in addition to what everyone else has said.
