dechlorinator that has stress coat in it?

    mmmm, protein, and crunchy too! :D I remember when the 17 yr cicadas were last out, people were passing out recipes for them - no way, I'd eat tree bark and dirt first.

    I agree. Until the tank is cycled the water needs to be changed every day or every other day at the least.

    ok. my sister brought me this stuff. i dont know where shre found it. but i want to know if it will work. it is called amquel+ plus removes nitrate,nitrite,ammonia, chlorine & chloramines. will this stuff work??

    Yes, that will work. I don't like their product but it does the job.

    do i just add it to the tank or should i take a gal out and put it in the new water.

    Just add it to the water when you do your water change. Follow the directions and treat for 5 gallons of water.

    ok. do i still need to use the aqua safe?? this product doesnt do the slime coat for the fish.

    Amquel can interfere with the cycling process, and also can disrupt a fully cycled tank. At least that's what I hear....I wouldn't use it. Can you get Prime? That's my favorite and doesn't disrupt the cycling process.

    If it removes everything, I guess it could starve off your bacteria, huh.

    Yeah it removes the ammonia which isn't good.
    Prime only detoxifies it, so the fish can deal with it.

    froggy is doing a little better. he doesnt look so lifeless. I already used the other stuff. what is this prime and where can i find it.

    It's Seachem Prime. Petco and Petsmart usually carry it.

    my sister said she got this stuff from petsmart. i cant seem to find the prime stuff. if i get the prime stuff then i wont need the aquasafe??

    Right, but go ahead and use up any aquasafe you have. It's not evil, lol. I can't find Prime by me, I'd have to order it online if I wanted it. I just use the Aquasafe.
