water change during cycling process with fish inside

    Hi,

Is water change during the cycling process with fishes inside good or bad?
Several sources say its good to replace a certain amount 10-30% frequently until the water has cycled. Others say its bad to change water during cycling process as you would take away the good bacteria while replacing the water.
    What do you all think?

    Cheers,
    Arvind

Water changes while cycling a tank with fish is a must, that is unless you can use a product like Seachem Prime and eliminate the ammonia and detox the nitrites. Prime is safe to use while cycling a tank.

Great. How frequently do you suggest and how much quantity in percentage?
Sorry...I am asking so many questions all over the forum. I am totally new and wanna make sure I don't kill any fishes after I buy them. I'm sure you'll understand, but thought I'd say it anyways.

I would do about 20% every other day depending on your ammonia/nitrite levels.

That's what the forum is for. :D
