    Re: HELP PLEASE

The water is green because of algae.... Algae has NOTHING to do with water quality and actually as ugly as it looks, is beneficial to the tank.

Algae usually comes when you overfeed the fish or leave the light on for too long. Feed the tank less, and be sure not to turn the light on in the morning and leave it on of 16-18 hours or even overnight. The algae WILL go away. My mother listened to me and her algae stopped growing all over and is only on the decorations now which is MUCH better.

8-10 hours is ALL you should have your tank lit up for. 12 hours at MOST!

    Re: HELP PLEASE

Nope, well there are chemicals.... BUT I dont use them... I either fishless cycle or cycle with fish (I am doing this now on my 125 and it is VERY dangerous with a full stock of fish)

Add 1 small fish, it will be fast that way (about 1 week) You MUST check your Ammonia AND Nitrites DAILY, waterchange and Prime to keep them down safe for the fish.
