Some of my fish keep sliding themselves on the rocks in my tank. What does this mean? I'm using the product below. It seems to slow the sliding down but the fish do not completely stop. I am going to try it for a few days until they stop. Any suggestions/comments on what the problem could be.

So your fish do have Ich? cant remember if you said yours had it but that is an effect of Ich. Its not the medicine. Exactly what stevenrox said, the Ich is irritating their skin and they do what is called "Flashing and Darting" where they rub against objects to attempt to scrape the Ich off.

The good is usually it never hurts them and they will stop once the Ich cycle is over. The bad side is, it IS possible for a fish to injure themselves. Unfortunately you yourself cannot really stop them from doing that short of removing everything which does not help anything but possibly stress the fish more.

If you dont know if they have Ich or not, Ich, Velvet, Fungal Infections and some External Bacterial Infections could cause this too. Do you see the white spots?

2nd Lemon on this one. To do it once in a blue moon is one thing, but to do it to the point that it's causing concern by you I would think it's flashing also.
Also, those white spots Lemon is talking about will look soo tiny (think grain of salt) and usually spread to pollute the fish's body. IF it is ich you can get freshwater aquarium salt and treat per directions with that...theirs other things you can use also, but I'd keep an eye like your already doing and be aware that it may be ich that needs to be treated if your seeing the white grainy spots.
Also, if theirs anything that is "sharp" in the tank you may want to remove it to avoid them flashing against it...normally aquar decor isn't sharp, but some things can be.

My fish are always rubbing themselves or brushing on rocks and I keep my tanks at 82+ to ensure theres no ick, I mean they dont have hands and from what I have gathered all animals get ichy from time to time, just make sure you dont have any jagged objects in the tank and all should be well.

I gather it may be more dependant on the species. I've got a pretty mixed CALM community tank and I've yet to see anyone other than the guppies when giving birth flash.

yeah Ill say that my barbs and gourami hardly ever do it, my cichlids do it all the time, I almost think that they are marking their territory

I have seen my Discus do it from time to time, and agreed it does look like territory marking... It has happened more often now that the Angelfish is out and the Discus are trying to pair.
