    Re: Babies!!!!

20 babies all together. i got to see her birth a few of them . i also saw her eat 2 of them! it was so cool, i could almost see the babies move into the birth canal. one had it's little face sticking out of her for about 45 seconds before it swam out. it was so interesting to watch. she's back in the main tank, they are in a breeder net and i'm gonna set up a little 5 gallon for them today. they are adorable! such huge eyes!

lol. I love the babies! At least you know how old they are (not like the old sickly stock my lfs carries).

Lol. Dawn dawn! Did you ever try to feed your neons live bloodworms :) I Always use frozen started with live today. The worms are almost as big as the neons themself. They have enough after 1 :) No more begging neons :)

    shocker
I have been looking at my tank tonight and I think one of my guppies dropped some babies for I have about 4 small guppies. they are not newborn size but I would say may be a week old size. and I have had my guppies for 2 weeks now.

    Re: shocker

It was sold to you pregnant then. Most LFS's don't seperate the males from the females...which results in most females being sold already pregnant.

Be aware other fish (including the parents) will eat the fry, this is the reason most purchase a breeder net.

To feed the fry crush the flakes into a dust like form between your fingers and feed fry several times a day. You can also purchase Hikari Fry bites or artemia.

    Good Luck!

    Re: shocker

well I didn't buy my guppies, I got them from a neighbor for free, I already know they where carrying, but don't have my ten gallon fry tank up yet.

I think this ones are safe, like I said they look to be about 1 week old so they are big enough to stay in the tank.

It just shocked me that 4 live the parents and my other fish. also there may be a few more hiding in my java moss.

    Re: shocker

They are good hiders (the fry) typically...especially if you have some floating plants for cover.

    doing the happy dance

I do the I so happy, o so happy dance right now.

I came home from school and found 12 to 15 new baby guppies in my breeding trap, I also got one out of the filter yesterday so I have like 13 to 16 baby guppies.

They are going to get some micro worms with in the next hour.

It's such a great feeling to find fry in the tanks ;)

With guppies, you'll be finding many many more !!
